Compared to the previous centre clamp (1003020 and 1003952), this new black centre clamp features a clip under the clamping plate. The clip offers the integration of potential equalisation of the module frames in the same installation step as clamping the modules to the mounting system. This leaves only the first or the last module in a row to be equalised with the ground rail (earthing).The clip is designed to penetrate the insulating top layer of the aluminium module frame. This means that earthing rings will no longer be needed and can be removed from the parts list and from the installation process
