## SMA Backup 1P automatic switchover device


The SMA Backup 1P automatic switchover device provides an automatic power supply during grid failures for single-phase households. This external box manages the switchover between grid-connected and off-grid operation. The enclosure features an integrated backup fuse for the inverter and offers extra space for components such as overvoltage protection or the Sunny Home Manager. The system operates with minimal self-consumption during normal grid-parallel operation. Installation runs smoothly due to the flexible mounting options of the separate wall cabinet.


**Important system requirement**: this switchover device is designed exclusively for single-phase systems. You can combine this product solely with a Sunny Boy Smart Energy inverter. It is absolutely not possible to couple this box with the three-phase Sunny Tripower Hybrid X inverters.
