The Sunny Boy 5.0-1AV-41 is lightweight and therefore quick to install. The Shadefix shadow management system, formerly known as OptiTrac Global Peak, makes this inverter suitable for various environments. SMA Smart Connected also offers a monitoring system for reliable performance. ## Easy & fast installation With only 17.5kg this is a very light inverter. The installation therefore only needs one installer. After the physical installation, the integrated user interface can be accessed directly by suitable devices, such as a smartphone or laptop. There is no need to open the housing for this purpose. ## Shadefix Shadefix makes the Sunny Boy 5.0-1AV-41 suitable for installations in light to medium shaded environments. No other components are required. Normally, cells completely or partially covered by shadow will perform less and therefore reduce the performance of the entire panel. This inverter will bypass these less performing cells, reducing power loss. ## SMA Smart Connected SMA has a fully automatic system which monitors connected and logged on inverters - SMA Smart Connected. Once installation of the Sunny Boy 5.0-1AV-41 has been completed, it can be logged on to the system. If an anomaly is subsequently detected, both the customer and the installer will receive a notification. The installer can then respond immediately. If a replacement inverter is required, SMA will deliver it within 1 to 3 days of detection.
