Technology

Integrated with novel soft-switching parallel connection technology, the Growatt APX delivers more energy by eliminating the effect of mismatch between packs, enabling each module to fully charge and discharge independently.
Greater flexibility for installation and expansion with batteries of varied State of Charge (SoC) and from different new batches, ultimately saving on O&M and supply chain costs, while featuring a redundancy design preventing system shut-down due to a defective pack.

Capacity

In combination with the Growatt MOD 3-10KTL3-XH (BP) inverters, a total of one to six APX 5.0P-B1 battery modules are needed. Depending on the number of used battery modules, the maximum capacity is between 5 and 30kWh.

Compatibility

The APX 5.0P-B1 battery is compatible with the MIN XH, MOD XH BP, and MID XH inverter series, provided the appropriate BMS is used. The compatibility requires:

• MIN XH inverter series with APX 55027-P0
• MOD XH with APX 98034-P2 + Base
• MID XH with APX 98034-P2 + Base

Protection

Protection includes an active Battery Management System (BMS) for each cell, a pack-level energy optimizer and built-in aerosol fire protection for each module, an arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) and a replaceable fuse for the whole system.

Note: The BMS must be purchased separately. You can choose between the models  APX 55027-P0 or APX 98034-P2 + Base as the BMS.
